The Linux terminal for health researchers in a hurry

Find a file, read a dataset, and run a script on a Linux server. Eight short lessons for people who already have a login and need to get to the data.

How to take it

On this site, one lesson at a time

1. Read the lesson here

The course opens as its own workspace, with the lesson list beside the page. A free account is required. The lesson stays on brti.co.zw, so it can be read on a phone and printed with your certificate.

2. Practice, then use your server

Each lesson has a short practice line for the example study folder. It runs in your browser. When the files belong to your own study, run the same commands on the server you use for that work.

3. Pass the check, then print the certificate

Each lesson ends with one question. After all 8 are passed, the certificate includes a QR code. Scanning it confirms the name and the course with BRTI.
